Dear Carlos, The 4 & CAT lights on my CatGenie are slowly blinking together. What does this mean?

Hi there! Have no fear, this is a quick and easy fix! That just means that the power to the unit was interrupted. To fix it, simply hold down the auto/set-up button for 4 seconds, then release,. Great question! Actually, the number on the panel does not correlate with the number of cats you have, but rather has to do with programming times and delays before cleaning. You can read more about the indicators and programming of your CatGenie on page six of the operation manual. If you need more help programming your CatGenie feel free to call our customer service at (888-735-3927). By the way, tell your cats I said meow, meow meow. They’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.


 

Dear Carlos,

My unit is beeping twice with the alternating 2 and error light. I noticed that all I have to do is unplug the CatGenie and plug it back in and the cycle continues with no error. Is there a problem with my CatGenie?

 

Greetings, human! This is what we call an error #2, and it is has to do with the length of time the unit is taking to fill with water. Please call the customer service humans so that they can run a few quick tests (888-735-3927). They are available 7 days a week and will be able to get your CatGenie running smoothly again in no time. I hope you have a purrfect day!

    My cat genieAI has the message light guide missing but I took it apart and nothing is missing
    I cleaned the sensor stick and cleaned the hopper because there was string stuck around the metal piece. I thought it would work and it did until the scooper went all the way back and dropped a lot of the granules into the hopper and then the water did not drain. HELP!!! Thank you

    Here’s one for you. I am a 8 year plus cat genie owner. I have a 240 model. There was a 2 beep but light one was flashing On and off. Not 2 flashes. I cleaned the hopper. Ran the drain test with extra water. Ran the fresh water test and drain test . All functioned but the same 2 beep and light one flashed. I unplug and plugged in. I changed the motor for an extra I had and changed the hopper too. All sensors are in etc. same problem. I tried to put it in the special tech mode and it beeped, flashed and went back to the 2 beep light one issue. I pulled the motor out, changed the cartridge this time. Problem ended. The cartridge I took out is half full! I put the machine in special tech mode with the new cartridge just in case. Now in special mode it beeps 3 times, then one and then five and then one and then 10 times. What is going on?

  6. Hi, my Cat Genie will not sense my cat after she goes to the litter box. I have to manually turn the clean cycle on even though it is on cat activation mode. What can I try to fix this? She is a small kitten.

  7. Hi there, you are my last hope: I just got my CatGenie and programmed it on automatic, so it starts automaticly 30 minutes after each use. Now whenever a cycle is finished it starts another one after 30 minutes, even when no cat was near as I closed the bathroom door to check.
    What can I do?
